BEACHCATS HABITAT FOR HUMANITY

Rain or shine, our volunteers were put to the building test.  On Saturday, February 20, 2010, ten UA alums journeyed to National City to help with the construction of the second house of a three, single family home development project funded by Habitat for Humanity.  Our dedicated volunteers were tasked with difficult task primarily associated with hanging materials for the roof, finalizing fire protection sheeting, and hanging corner joint boards.  The day was long but we completed our designated tasks without error allowing the supervisor to comment that he was in a good position for inspections and starting next phases.  A big thank you to our volunteers.  You can see the pictures on our Event Photos page.

This is a great family event and way to give back to our community.  Please email us if you are interested in participating in or planning next years event.  We always need more volunteers.
